1803 Electric Cooperative, Inc. is a generation and transmission cooperative founded in 2019. 1803 supplies wholesale power service to six Louisiana member distribution cooperatives.1 Integrated resource planning is the process 1803 uses to develop a long-range plan for meeting its members’ future electricity needs reliably and at the lowest reasonable cost.
The Louisiana Public Service Commission established uniform integrated resource planning rules for the electric utilities it regulates in General Order No. 08-28-2024 (R-36262) (Corrected), dated August 28, 2024. 1803 initiated its current integrated resource planning cycle by correspondence filed with the Commission on July 29, 2026, in Docket No. I-38052.
As the power supply cooperative for its full-requirements members, 1803’s integrated resource planning process also satisfies the integrated resource planning requirements of each of its member cooperatives.
